What MwM is all about
Mala with Metta is first and foremost a meditative, spiritual practice, with the intention to spread Loving-Kindness out into the universe. I choose to do this by making Malas and Bracelets that I 'energize' with Metta (Loving-Kindness) by meditating with each Mala or Bracelet.
Since I do not wish to profit in the name of spirituality or from my spiritual practice, I see this as a great way to raise money for charitable causes - I give 100% of any profits to other humble, modest charities that also practice Loving-Kindness.
Sales & Orders
To keep this venture modest and humble, I choose to not go 'full-scale commercial'. The benefits of this are:
- Costs are kept to a minimum, ensuring the maximum amount goes to the chosen charity.
- It keeps the scale of production at a manageable level (I am one man with a full-time job)
- It ensures I am able make time to meditate with each Mala with Metta once it's made
- It maintains the intention of the making of Mala with Metta as a Mindful practice and not just a thoughtless production line, pumping out product to maximize income
- It allows me to connect with people and provide a more personalized experience; I want every step of our connection to be human, individualized, interactive, kind and caring.
This means is that I sell and take orders for Mala with Metta face-to-face at local markets, and via the Reach Out! button below.
Sizing & Customising
The complication with online ordering is sizing. At face-to-face markets, you can try on the Mala and Bracelets to find the right size for you, or I can take measurements for a custom fit. You can also see the products in the flesh.
To try to make this work when you order through the Reach Out! button below, I ask you to include your wrist measurement in any details you provide.
Delivery/Postage
When ordering through the Reach Out! button below:
- If you are local, I may be able to deliver free of charge
- If postage is required, a flat rate postage fee is applied*
- Depending on availability, I may need to make the items or order more stock. This will add to the delivery times. When you reach out with your order, I let you know if there will be any delays, and you can choose whether you wish to proceed.
* Amount may depend on delivery address. I will let you know when we connect
